The Parents' Page

  • This page shows parents everything we are doing in the classroom such as what we are learning and activities we are doing in class. This is a way that parents can see what their child is doing in school and get involved in their school work.
  • Announcements that parents should be aware of such as special dates like report card day, holidays, and special days we have in class.
  • Also this page shows parents how to communicate with me so i can keep a line of communication open with all the parents in my class because parent participation is the key to every students success.

Goody Page

  • This page will have the rewards for good behavior listed so every student and parent can be aware of what is good and what is not. They will be aware of what i expect and the rewards they will earn from following my rules.
  • Punishment and discipline for bad behavior will also be on this page so the parents can see what steps i am taking with their child to discipline them and the students can see what will come next if they continue their behavior.
  • Different approaches i will use for behavior in classroom like a treasure chest at the end of the week for students who have been good all week and haven't had any discipline problems. Also their will be privileges like extra play time and fun activities that everyone who has behaved will get to participate in and the students who have misbehaved will have to miss out.

Curriculum

  • This page will be updated each week to show what we will be doing every day in class for the week. This will help parents and students know what we are doing if they miss a day and act as a syllabus.
  • The page will show the lessons we are going to cover in detail with examples so if the student needs extra practice they can look on here with their parents to help them.
  • Also on this page i will put up some optional assignments or projects that the student can do for extra credit if they did bad on a lesson but the extra assignment will have to come from the same lesson as the grade they are replacing. This will help the student to practice on the subject more until they master it instead of just making a less than adequate grade and moving on without knowing how to do it.

Classroom Rules

  • This page will have a list of rules on it for the students to be expected to follow. Some rules will be expected in any classroom and some rules will be added specifically to my classroom where i see fit according to problems i have.
  • Also there will be a list of supplies that i expect the students to bring daily such as crayons, pencils, markers, glue, scissors, and etc. Then there will be a list of optional things they can donate to the classroom such as paper towels, napkins, plastic baggies, paper, and etc.

Lesson Plan Ideas

  • This page will be a page of feedback. On this page i will put up some of my ideas for classroom lessons that will be fun and then i want the students and parents to send me comments on what they want to do in class and any ideas they have so i can work this into our curriculum.
  • Also i will have a contest each year to come up with ideas for a classroom theme. I will redecorate my classroom to a new theme every year according to what them my students want. I will take suggestions and they will be posted on here and everyone will be able to vote on what they want and then the students can help me with this as an activity after we vote and agree on a theme. This will bring the students together and get them involved in things in the classroom they usually have no control over.
